Haldimand County Library offering Volunteer Income Tax Program


HALDIMAND COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY OFFERING SPRING 2017 COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX PROGRAM


HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON – In partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency, Haldimand County Public Library is offering free income tax filing services with trained volunteers who will assist with the preparation of income tax returns. These tax clinics will be offered by appointment only at the Caledonia, Hagersville and Jarvis Branches of Haldimand County Public Library.


To be eligible for this free tax filing service, individuals must be:


? Single, with an annual income of $30,000 or less; Single, with an annual income of $30,000 or less;

?Married couple, with a combined annual income of $40,000 or less; Married couple, with a combined annual income of $40,000 or less; 

?Single adult with dependants, with an annual income of $35,000 or less (plus additional $2,500 per dependent); Single adult with dependants, with an annual income of $35,000 or less (plus additional $2,500 per dependent); 

?Individual with less than $1,000 investment income Individual with less than $1,000 investment income 

To set up an appointment, qualifying individuals may call Haldimand County Public Library at 289-674-0400 or visit one of the branches. The free tax clinics run throughout March and April.
