Service Description: Sexual health clinic * health professionals test for and treat sexually transmitted infections * family planning services
  • birth control counselling
  • nexplanon implant insertions and removals
  • intrauterine contraception (IUD) insertions are completed by the midwifery team * referrals to gynecology can be made if sedation is requested for IUD insertion
  • low-cost birth control 
  • free condoms
  • referrals for vasectomy
  • testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, syphilis, hepatitis, HIV, herpes simplex virus (HSV))
  • genital lumps, bumps and sores assessed and treated (genital warts, molluscum contagiosum, and HSV * liquid nitrogen and topical treatments are available
  • pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
  • post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) 
  • referrals for HIV care
  • assessment and treatment of yeast infections, bacterial, urinary tract infections, and skin infections
  • HPV testing
  • Pap smears and testing
  • HPV and Hepatitis B vaccines
  • pregnancy testing and options counselling
  • prenatal and postnatal care available through the midwifery program
  • abortion using medications or referral for procedural abortion
  • TB assessments
  • chest x-rays

Fees: Free testing and treatment of sexual transmitted infections
