Service Description: Services focused on helping the child or youth with a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder and their families learn and build skills * services can be received directly through the regional service provider or families can receive funding to work with another service provider

Program includes:

Family Services and Training: Enrolled families can receive information and training within their community * may include workshops, seminars, consultations and information about autism spectrum disorders and about the Ontario Autism Program

Evidence Based Behavioural Services: Services to help encourage social skills and functional skills * works to discourage challenging behaviours * also works with families to help support their child's development * services are based on clinical assessments and are individualized

Family Support Worker: Assigned to families upon enrollment in program * develops Family Service Plan to help ensure that services are goal-centred * answers family questions
