Service Description: Assessments, consultations, and treatments for people with spasticity * focus is on maintaining and/or improving functional performance in mobility or improved access for hygiene for the patient and/or caregiver * services include:
  • assessment of braces, splints, and mobility equipment
  • management of contracture
  • oral and injectable anti-spasticity medication

Services provided by a physiatrist, nurse, occupational therapists, physiotherapist, and orthotics specialist

Maintenance level of rehabilitative care for patients working to prevent functional decline/injury or maintain functional performance

Fees: Set fees * publicly-funded services available to those who are eligible * funding may be available through private insurance
Application: Medical referral required
Eligibility / Target Population: Adults 18 years and older with a diagnosis or condition that often results in spasticity, such as spinal cord injury, stroke, acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, or Multiple Sclerosis
