Service Description: Settlement services and supports for newcomers * programs include:

Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression - Provides newcomers the opportunity to share experiences with racism and other types of discrimination

Care For Newcomer Children - Prepares newcomer children with English language and other school readiness skills * runs concurrent with the centre's English day classes

Community Connections Adult Services - Brings together newcomers to Canada and established community residents for sharing and learning * newcomers learn about living in Canada, practice speaking English and make connections in the community

Employment and Skills Development Department - Supports newcomers in building meaningful careers in Canada * includes but is not limited to: group sessions, skills training, career guidance, and networking opportunities

Language Services - Full time Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) and English as a Second Language (ESL) for adults of varying levels of language ability

Migrant Workers Support Project (MWP) - 18 month pilot program designed to support migrant workers across Niagara * works in partnership with The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) to provide migrant workers with information and support

Peer-to-Peer Vaccine Education and Outreach - Provides information and education sessions to newcomers in Niagara regarding vaccines

Settlement Services - The settlement department assists newcomers in meeting their immediate and longer-term settlement needs which includes information and orientation to the community, referrals to community and social programs

Skills Training Programs - Focuses on providing skills to assist newcomers to Canada to accelerate their prospects of entering the labour market by preparing them with greater knowledge and sills

Wellness Program - Provides wellness support to newcomers in Niagara who are experiencing language and other social barriers to accessing mainstream mental health services * one-on-one, group, and anti-stigma counselling

Youth Services - Offers several opportunities for newcomer youth ages 13-24 to get connected into the community

50+ Program - Provides assistance to mature newcomers to integrate and adapt into their community
