Service Description: Inpatient rehabilitation program for adults who have had a spinal cord injury from either a traumatic injury or non-traumatic illness (excluding cancer-related causes) or need rehabilitation following a surgical procedure on the spine * services provided by physiatrists, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, OT/PT assistants, pharmacist, dietitian, recreational therapist and pool instructor, respiratory therapists, speech language pathologist, communication disorders assistant, social workers, and psychologist

Eligibility / Target Population: Adults 16 years and older with a spinal cord injury from either a traumatic injury or non-traumatic illness (excluding cancer-related causes) or have had a surgical procedure on the spine * must have identified attainable, functional rehabilitation goals * general health must be stable, with all necessary tests and acute care treatments completed * must have a sitting tolerance of two hours and be able to attend therapy for at least 30 minutes twice a day * must have demonstrated ability to learn and carry over new knowledge and willingness to participate in rehabilitation
